Thruster opinions?

due for new (kite) got it down to thruster14 or ocean rodeo14.
thrusters got the speed but OR has the reputation. any comments?
looking for a low wind, low bar pressure, easy relaunch(reverse launch like the gk)

hey peter D
if you go to eclipse's webpage, get on their forums. They have great setting tips to get the low end you want. I fly my 14 with a 137X44 crazyfly in 10 mph wind. Im 165 lbs.

I ride in the florida keys, and yes,the 8m is very fast, but not uncontrolable ,all you have to do if you are not used to a fast kite is put your hands near the center of the bar. Like the 12m Thruster I love the way this kite flies and will be riding it when the winds are blowing in the 20,s and 30,s. I also let one of the other guys try it out and he is going to get a 8m for himself he loved it so much,"the kites speak for themselves".

I would hazzard a guess that the Eclipse's have built a pretty good reputation already in the last few months the 08 models have been flying.
low bar pressure = Thruster
easy relaunch =Thruster
reverse launch equals almost any SLE.

I ride thrusters. And I wouldn't go back to any other brand. But you gotta feel it your self. Go out and demo both kites. Then you'll know...

tried the thruster in low winds , used the adjustments to try to get a little more , it doesnt have the low end grunt , but i dont care ill just fly my old GK when i have to, but will be thinking of the thruster the whole time!!
Even on the "turtle" setting this kite is still fast.

depend on how big or short your surfbaord for light wind ?
long board is good fit for light wind than medium or short board
no matter about thruster but if long fin is great for light wind

another good light wind weapon is my finless wooden board i made. cant beat the fun!
