Thruster opinions?

due for new (kite) got it down to thruster14 or ocean rodeo14.
thrusters got the speed but OR has the reputation. any comments?
looking for a low wind, low bar pressure, easy relaunch(reverse launch like the gk)

as same as i like cab , u like eclispe and other like naish
so simple basic about wheels which we ride
as same as we ride to kiting , lol

Permalink Reply by Peter D on March 28, 2008 at 6:41am: im not sure if i like eclipse yet..i'll see soon, had good times on flexi-foils,very durable.theve been making kites before ANY of the others,they make the best stunt kites..deadly!!
but they arent cheep,and the ion is a tad heavier ,due to its bombproofedness.(need a lower wind kite) Slinghots are built on rep,good tuff flys.
GK's are nice in the 06,& 07's ,reverse launchable. great kite. super loft and adjustabilty.Bar sucks!! made my own set up. 08 kite is to much $ and to goofy, any way THE MORE YOU TRY ,THE MORE YOU KNOW,But if you found your choice thats awesome!
next kite i need is 8m or 10m looking at Ocean rodeo hell maybe even a Cab havent tried either of those yet. Where are you riding mostly?; ▶ Reply to This

so i do my research, talk to friends and take chances. cant wait to try the thruster on monday! i ride up in maine, lots of beaches to pick from all mine COLD but mine!

in 2006 nov till march 2007 i was in los barriles , baja and last june of 20 days in cabarate
lot ocean rodeo riders at nitinaht lake in vanc island by indian reserve camp also good fresh salmon / dungeon crabs so best aug cuz daily winds and water is mixed of salt from mouth of coast by ocean and fresh water from mountains

didnt get to try it on the water...not enuff wind,just enuff to fly it on land..
great construction, nice one pump and deflate,everything was nice ,but im not sure about the depower strap, its got the two straps you pull (labeled, more+ and less-) for sheeting but im wondering how easy they are to use on the water,
i'll find out tuesday , should be 20mph onshore and 50 degrees out!

wow im not worthy!! that kite turns like a stunt kite!! THRUSTER is not a beginer kite, woo ive got some work to do to get the most out of this FERARRI! the straps on the sheeting system werent any problem....bbuuuut i dont know yet ..didnt need to move it much..
the kite takes the gust real nice, shakes em off and keeps zoomin
I think i may be disappointed in the low end ,when i need it in the 10mph wind of the summer,the kite didnt seem to have grunt ,but it may make up for that with movement speed.'''
